Standing Tall Over Time
Summer has arrived late to the park this year. Rainy cold weather has taken precedence. Today the sun has won and illuminates all with its cheery presence.
It brings with it flicks of dappled light that dances about on foliage and change houses. Interesting patterns sway across the building as the breeze stirs the foliage above. They have stood the test of time, standing tall and steady throughout the seasons.
Visitors come and go frequently in warmer days, then become scattered as the weather becomes colder. I imagine how lonely the building is as winter takes hold and engulfs it in a coat of white. Doors nailed shut, wait patiently for the return of warmer days.
Finally when winter relents doors will be opened wide and a new perspective revealed. As time passes it is a healthy practice to challenge old beliefs and gratefully accept new perspectives.
